General catchup fluff.

Back on my laptop as apparently expensive Mac keyboards are magnets for drinks. Sigh. Anyway...

Hearing a barn dance done in Welsh is kind of a surreal experience. Was a fundraising event run by one of Mum's work pals, went along for kicks and for the sake of doing something different - kinda fun. (Makes a change from sitting in the corner of a pub staring at a Coke while having my ears smashed in by the music.)
... I can't remember what the Welsh for 'do-si-do' was, mind. I mean, that's got too many vowels in it.

Trip draws closer. I'm just hoping the flights get back to normal, and the volcano that went up's big brother doesn't decide to follow suit, before we get going. That still seems so surreal... no planes. The skies are empty. This just doesn't happen.
Found myself star-watching as I came back from the dance; was I just imagining it, or was the sky insanely clear tonight?

One week left before all this messing around and refitting in work is finished. Store looks like it'll come out pretty nice when we finally get the crock pots out of the printer section... They're closing the place next week for the finishing touches: looks like a week off, woo, unless the boss decides to be all 'surprise we need you to do X, Y and Z' which I wouldn't put past him. They already want me to do the Saturdays which I don't usually.
Been way more stressed there than I have been for a while, somehow (maybe the building noises have gotten to me). Been more paranoid, more snarky, and while I'm good at paranoia I do not usually do snark. Argh. I need to get back on the decent-job-hunting thing, but I've looked through just about every likely company I could think of locally... sigh.
