Mar. 21st, 2010 07:20 pmLooks like we're off to Florida again this year. It's a little weird, though. I suggested it half-jokingly and my folks just dived on the idea! Even when mum'd wanted to do something Exotic before... I think dad wanted to do something laid back and all - he's had his share of adventure holiday this year. So me just dropping a hint like that was enough to push them over the edge, even when I was quite frank that my reasons had mouse ears on them. (Hm, do I take the Shadow hat or no? XD) :p Thinking we're going on a short cruise, then a bit of a road trip around the top of the state and down to Orlando (for KSC and the obvious.) I'm just hoping Dad plans this better than our mad dash drive to Miami/the Keys on our second visit.
Not looking forward to wrangling the possible extra day off the flights might need, BUT. Will talk to relevant manager.
Just finished the works training thing this weekend, too; all sales techniques and the right questions to ask people and how to deal with folks getting in your face. Was actually kinda fun in parts, the usual crazy stunts these things get. The trainer was a good guy, though - he tried to build my confidence, which is more than the big boss usually does (he has sat me down in interviews and said 'you panic too much to do anything big'. Seriously. Not encouraging.) It actually felt pretty weird. But damn, I appreciated it.
