...Was not actually as bad as last year. And not as bad as Monday. Okay, we had a few mad rush spots, but for the most part? Room to breathe. Helped that all of us cash desk jockeys were in - actually, *everyone* was in, full stop. Hoping tomorrow goes as smoothly. ...Well, there was one hitch. The computer systems were going at a pretty glacial pace through it all. I guess the computers must've had too much turkey, too.
While it's rush season, they're currently offering a choice of 'free sandwiches and tiny!break to eat them, then get your butt into the shop, but we pay for break' or 'normal break but hands off the damn sandwiches and no extra cash'. I'm sticking to the latter, thanks... I can see the advantage of the sandwich route, but I like having that extra cooldown time no matter what. (And they seem to be letting people swipe the leftovers at the end of the day, too - yoink!)
