Oct. 28th, 2007 06:58 pmFirst actual day at actual work with actual money today. Started yesterday but that was just all the stuff like health and safety whatever. Couldn't sleep at the thought last night...
Went okay! The guys I was working with are pretty cool. Spent a lot of time attempting to actually make hanging round on the tills not-boring. XD Wasn't too bad until the end of the day, mind, when it was a case of 'stare at clock Hiro-style'. Managed to do pretty well, overall... didn't screw up *too* badly, anyway. Forgot to give a couple of people their change until I'd already closed the drawer and then went 'agh'. But that was the worst of it.
I'm just waiting for the idiots.
Random-ass note. I was watching the birds on the bird table this morning when I was getting breakfast together. There were a bunch of little bluetits and the like who must only have hatched this year grabbing something to eat out there and oh my god they were the cutest things ever. They were these tiny little things, half-sized... aww!
...Geez, I can be a sap sometimes.
