Oct. 8th, 2007 08:03 pmGetting soooo sick of sitting here Pasteing Heds On Things, No Yay for aunt's party. I never thought I could hold any resentment towards Photoshop. (Think of the cash, DC. Think of the cash.)
Had my time table chopped up for the third time. There's an optimistic little 'Final version! Hopefully!' written on the notice board. At least they haven't put any classes finishing at 5pm as the original I saw had it. Although one teacher is talking about making us stay for an extra hour until then as he's not going to be in for one of our classes this week... uuuuh. This is also the dullest teacher of the lot of 'em.
Lemme see. Classes are:
-Computer Aided Manufacture: Teacher's okay. Fluctuates between insanely dull and 'oooh, cool'. The 'oooh, cool' is one of the assignments we've got. Design a little model/thing on 'what engineering means to you' and get it on the rapid prototype machine to make a real one of it. ...The insanely dull is 'how screw threads are made'.
-Aerodynamics: This is actually starting to get interesting, although I still nearly fell asleep today - how the hell? It's like there's some mismatch between the part of my brain that wants to know how the hell planes actually fly the way they do and the rest of it, and the rest won.
-Business Management: Think even the teacher knows we're not going to be mega-interested in a lot of this stuff. Except the handful of Euro Journalism students who wandered into it thinking it sounded up their street and kind of stayed even though it's on the Engineering course roster. Lot more talking and discussion than any other classes.
-Thermodynamics: Blah blah physics-cakes, shouldn't be too bad, looks a lot like the kind of stuff we did last year so far. We've got last year's maths teacher for it.
-Avionics: Aforementioned teacher of dull. Still looks like the stuff we did last year at the moment, too. Yes, we KNOW how an altimeter works. Get to the good stuff.
-Maths: Well, it says Analytical Techniques on the timetable, but even the teacher says 'eh, it's maths'. The things we've got to do this semester have scary names. But - it's maths. Mostly calculus. There is not a lot to say about this.
