May. 21st, 2007 06:18 pmPicked up the new Linkin Park album yesterday, Minutes to Midnight. Getting into it. As, kind of but not really surprisingly, is dad. He's got quite the taste for modern music. I've put a whole load of LP and VNV on his iPod. (The problem being he also likes the old stuff and I have yet to actually transfer music and install iTunes on the other computer... so I end up with a load of things of his I *don't* like on my library. Ah well.)
Though trying to explain what an 'emo kid' is to him didn't work out too well. I was kind of 'uh, with the floppy hair, and the black clothes, and the 'life sucks man''. He was 'ah, one of them, life sucks - then you get a mortgage and a job...' Hee.
On an emo theme, same town I picked the CD up in (what, I do *buy* legitimate music now and then) has a shop called Uncle Peter's Fudge. Well, I found it amusing.
...They do chilli and chocolate flavour. Which is ... surprisingly nice. Mostly choccy taste but has a weird little kick to it.
And on a music theme, I don't know if I've uploaded/linked this in the past, but I just listened to it again and - figured it was worth the link. 'Ashes' by Elsewhere - linking straight from the artist's site. If there's some antihotlink thing, go in via http://www.mothergoat.net/downloads.html and go down past the Halo stuff.
