Apr. 19th, 2007 12:33 pm...dammit, dammit, DAMMIT. My Sims keeps going glitchy on me and crashing. And I've saved it at a point where it crashes within three seconds.
And everything was going so well. Actually got the AI wedding to go well, everyone was getting promotions, I'd decided to let them adopt a kid. Save just before kid gets there. Melissa seems to take to her straight away.
Game crashes.
Restart.
Different kid arrives; name's Nancy, am a dork and start with nicknaming her 'Nano' to fit the scene. I save, and save a couple of times as she gets settled in - and the save of doom happens when she's messing around with Cortana. I don't see anything I can do to stop the crash happening because they're interacting happily.
Once again, dammit.
Maybe this is the game's way of telling me to stay the hell off it.
If I start them up again, new neighbourhood, new everything; I'm going to stay away from big families.
Also seems to crash whenever anyone's aspiration meter hits rock bottom. But that one's a bit more avoidable.

Edit: Tried downloading a patch to make things better; made things worse. I think I may have to reinstall. Going to at least try and get all the customs I made out of there.
