Nov. 19th, 2005 12:57 amWell.
That was eventful.
Was in Bradford today (meh, yesterday, dumb clock) for the animation festival. I thought this post would be me squeeing about getting to see RvB on the big screen but - yeah.
This happened about 100m from where we were.
Ironically, we found out from Sky News. Our class were just sitting in a pub, killing time before screenings and food, and we saw what had happened. It felt seriously surreal, but didn't quite sink in until we went outside again to get a curry.
Only to find that our restaurant of choice was right behind police tape and reporters and all that crap. Even then it didn't feel real. Everything was shutting down - we went back to the same pub to get eats, and saw the same reporters we'd passed in the street on the TV. Got kicked out pretty quickly. Good job the film museum where the festival's held stayed open. Don't know what we'd have done otherwise...
Ah, well. That's my dose of drama for the day.
