Feb. 22nd, 2005 10:38 pmToday... blah. Was planning to do some work on the college comps - forgot that I had a computer lecture anyway! Learnt a bit, but could have worked it out in time. In any case, by the end of the lecture, the whole class were ego-surfing and looking at movie trailers. (I'm only one of two UK Google matches for my name, if you put it in with quote marks rather than just separate words...)
Took all my strength not to go over to classmates and yell 'Why are you using Internet Explorer! The college computers have Safari! It's fast! It blocks pop up ads! And most importantly, it doesn't suck like a gobstopper on steroids!' (I was on Camino - Mac 'Firefox Lite'- and being very smug. I am such a geek...)
Though, one thing came out of it all. Well, two.
The comp technician/tutor guy is apparently a Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan. This is cool.
And I have just seen the new Appleseed trailer.
*dies*
...
*system reboots*
It looks so incredibly awesome... I saw the original, or some of it anyway, but it's not my favourite. The new one, though, looks - whoa. I've never seen anything like it...
It had better get out over here where I can see it soon. Our local Odeon is pretty lousy at showing non-big-name films. I never got to see Spirited Away until it had been out on DVD for *ages*.
