Aug. 10th, 2004 05:47 pm...There has got to be something wrong if I'm actually finding myself watching *Power Rangers* out of boredom. Bleh.
Well, it's that or Megaman. And I'm not so far gone. Look. Usually I love anime, duh. But I just can't stand the type - I don't know if it has an official sort of name - the 'battle buddy' type. The 'tournament' type. The sort of thing which revolves purely around people entering a tournament to become the World's Greatest InsertWhateverHere Master, and every other episode is a match. Urgh, Ultimate Muscle...
Hell, I'm all up for a good anime scrap. But when that scrap takes place solely in a special arena, when it's all about being Teh Best!!! and nothing else, I tend to lose interest.
And yes, I did like Pokémon back then. I still love the games. But again, battle buddy anime. Suppose it's for the younger audience, though - but that shouldn't mean anything!
