Techno-Rant!
Feb. 13th, 2004 05:42 pmWhat the hell is up with AOL? (Yeah. It's AOL. Point taken.)
Only, usually, it behaves itself reasonably. The past few days it's been doing nothing but misbehave non-stop. I'll surf half an hour fine - and then the connection vanishes and I'm left looking at five pages of 'Page could not be displayed' without any good reason. Gyah. Is this some sort of a conspiracy against dialup users? Make the system play up enough and they'll have to switch to broadband? Not without moving house, idiots. (Or maybe it's just out computer.)
And I'm sure Sky TV are doing the same thing - screw up the signal so that people need to get a posh Sky+ box which is going to double our subscription. It's not just our house that's finding that, my uncle's been moaning about the same thing. Won't record on video any more. Whereas Sky+ recording stuff is getting plugged to hell. It IS a conspiracy! All technology is being made to go out of date to make people upgrade unneccesarily! *gibbers*
