Well.
That's it.
So long, old job.
Still don't know how to feel about it... relieved, I guess? And looking forward to having time to actually look after myself, deal with my own stuff. No more coming home tired and drained and hopeless. No more cranking over the records of Company X for Big Financecorp Y, and not even knowing who Big Financecorp Y even are or where the records for Company X are being used. I'm taking a couple of weeks out before I get down to the hard graft of Really Looking For New Job Times. Though at least even then it'll be nice to actually have a flexible schedule...
Going to really need to think about what I'm looking for for next time around, though. I don't want to end up in another airless office. But what choices are there, really, at the moment? I'm so grateful I've got a pile of savings built up from living with my folks. Maybe I'll do some volunteer work, at least, to help fill the gap. And I'm definitely going to try and flog arty commissions.
I've still got that voice in the back of my mind that's going 'why do you think you're so special that you think you can get a job that you actively enjoy, so many people have ones that suck, you're no different, first world problems rararar.'
But I can at least try, right?
