Why the HELL do games over here have to be so expensive? Whyyyy...? *grumbles*
...been looking for a legit copy of Sims 2 Mac that doesn't cost the Earth (due to the fact that my dodgy copy is, well, dodgy as hell and it still won't stop crashing when there's kids in the house; given that the families are reaching the kind of stage where kids are to be had this is trouble). And keep headdesking whenever I see that the US copies are half the price.
I should've picked one up in Florida. I considered it all the way back then, from an 'ooh game' PoV, but I didn't think I'd get into the damn thing so far.

Aaanyway. I'm in a mood for picspammin', because of the above. These are in a rough chronological order, but not quite.
History of Blood Gulch: warning, there are a LOT of images here. This is just part one, be warned. There's probably another couple of posts' worth, but I'll put them up later: I don't want to have huge posts and risk LJ barfing. )

Part two: Introducing the rest of the ILB cast, Sam and Dr. Halsey, Chief Mendez and his 3.0s, and the last of the RvB crew. Also, the Reds are dorks.
Part three: In which the Elites and AIs invade and love is in the air. Along with a whole load of moving house.

Can tell when the holidays are coming up.
The parents stop giving a damn about the weather *here* and stay glued to the weather *there*.

Then again, Dad has had a widget for the weather in Marrakech on his desktop since we've had the new computer so that doesn't really say a lot.

Second stop looks like it might be seriously out in the boonies from the map I've seen. This is a little worrying. Will bring lots of paper.
...And ideas.

There is a rather big problem about watching 'Parasite' with an actual member of the medical profession. (IE Dad.)

To paraphrase: "Neck bones don't work that way!" Followed by the details on how the bones in that bit of the spine overlap so you just can't get a needle in there, how the idea is usually to go in lower (but he allowed that it was for the purpose of getting jabbing and screaming on the one shot) (and oh god what would it have looked like if Mo *had* done the spinal thing in the lower back? ^^; ) and how exactly curare is *really* used. Ow.

Then again, at some point, he seemed to be under the impression that Sylar was a good guy. "He just looked like one." And with Mo doing his stabby-jabby-gunpointy thing, yeah, had to explain that 'no, he IS the good guy, this is just personal'. Wonder what he's going to make of 'Gabriel' when he 'shows up again' as he already spotted a few nerd tendencies. XD

And he even googled 'sword kensei' as soon as Hiro put it onto the search in Linderman's place. Then went nuts looking up stuff on Miyamoto Musashi on Wiki. Hee.
